Hossam Shobokshi

Hossam is the Chief Executive Officer of Ouswah Capital, an investment firm that invests in private and public opportunities in MENA and developed markets. He was a Founding Partner and Chairman of Saray Capital from 2014 to 2022, focusing on listed equities and commercial real estate in MENA and developed markets.

Hossam was previously the Managing Director and Regional Head of MENA for Private Equity at Standard Chartered Bank in Dubai. He held board roles at Dubai-based Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), the MENA region’s leading venture capital firm, and Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker, a leading Saudi white goods manufacturer and distributor. He remains a Board member of Orascom Industrial Parks, one of Egypt’s first private-sector industrial real estate developers.

In 2020, Hussam earned the Chartered Director designation from the Institute of Directors in the UK. He graduated with honors from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, holding a Bachelor of Science in Management. He further enhanced his leadership capabilities through the President's Program at Harvard Business School, which he attended from 2016 to 2024.
